EA are celebrating another week at the top of the UK's multi-format sales chart, after FIFA 14 made it eight weeks on top (and the fifth consecutively). Sales were down 21% but that wasn't enough to dislodge the Messi-fronted title from its lofty perch.
In fact, it was a week of declining sales for most games, even for titles that find themselves higher in the listings than this time last week. Call of Duty: Ghosts (-39%), Battlefield 4 (-26%) and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (-31%) all stayed put inside the top five, and were joined by Lego Marvel Super Heroes, which climbed a place despite a 12% drop in sales.
The dubious award for the biggest drop in sales went to Grand Theft Auto V (-56%), which crashed down four places, but at least it managed to stay ahead of Aliens: Colonial Marines (-10%), which stays in the top twenty thanks to its low retail price.
Mario Party: Island Tour is the first new entry in this week's (and this year's) top twenty, debuting as it did in 18th place.
