Genting in Malaysia played host to the ESL One Dota 2 tournament last week, and after days of grueling competition Chinese team Newbee came out on top to lift the trophy at the weekend, a victory that must have felt that bit sweeter after defeating the team that had knocked them out of last year's major competition The International - Team Liquid.

As is the case with any good grand final, this went to a final fifth game, with a tense back-and-forth between Newbee and Liquid eventually swinging in the former's favour. They had performed very well up until that point, taking down Vici Gaming and Team Secret by 2-0 margins in the playoffs, and carried that form with them to go all the way.

The $160,000 in prize money is an added bonus, as well as the 200 Dota Pro Circuit points, which are a good step on the road to qualifying for this year's International, happening later in the year. Who do you think is better though - Newbee, or Liquid?
