As much as Team Liquid and Newbee have been some of the most dominant teams in Dota 2's esports over the last year, it was actually Virtus Pro who took home the grand prize at the latest tournament, ESL One Katowice in Poland this past weekend, also earning themselves $400,000 USD as well.

Newbee actually didn't progress out of Group B after a loss to Evil Geniuses, but Team Liquid and Virtus Pro both came out of Group A alongside Vici Gaming. In the playoffs Virtus Pro then had to take down Evil Geniuses 2-1 and Fnatic 2-0 to face Vici Gaming in a best-of-five match, a rematch after their 2-0 defeat to Vici in the group stage. This time though they started with an early 2-0 victory, and although Vici got one map back, the series ended 3-1 to Virtus Pro.

Do you think Virtus Pro stands among the best teams in Dota 2?
