Esports World Cup 2026: Eight players have advanced to the Tekken 8 Group Stage 2

As we touched upon yesterday, things are moving rather quickly for the Tekken 8 event at the Esports World Cup in Paris. The Group Stage 1 proceedings are well underway, in fact, they are halfway complete with both Groups CC and DD wrapped up, meaning we know of half of the players who have advanced to Group Stage 2 already.

Via Group CC, Usama Abbasi and Nobi progressed through the Upper Bracket, while Numan Ch and Yagami earned spots through the Lower Bracket. Over in Group DD, Keisuke and Farzeen earned tickets via the Upper Bracket, while Ulsan and M. Zubair advanced via the Lower Bracket.

As for the planned fixtures for today, all of the action from Groups AA and BB will occur, meaning we'll know the confirmed Group Stage 2 seeding and opening fixtures by the end of the day. As for the first fixtures for today's matches, you can see a reminder of this below.
