This comes as the Overwatch player's 30-day contract came to an end.

It did seem rather unusual that the New York Excelsior signed an American main tank player to its roster of predominantly South Korean Overwatch players, but it does seem like this signing didn't end up working all to well, as the franchise has now announced that it has parted ways with Jack "Vulcan" McArthur.

In the announcement tweet, the NYXL states that the decision to part ways was a mutual one, and that it came due to Vulcan's 30-day contract coming to an end.

"Vulcan's thirty-day contract has ended, and we've agreed to mutually part ways."

"Although he never competed on stage with us, we want to thank @Vulcan_OW for his contributions during his time here."

There's no mention as to what the future holds for Vulcan, but this release does mean that the NYXL is down to just the bare minimum five player roster once again.
