It's become pretty common to see Overwatch League teams releasing players instead of making signings at this point, and today's news isn't any different. The Houston Outlaws has now announced that Choi "MER1T" Tae-min's time with the team has come to an end, and therefore the two parties are heading in separate directions in the future.

"We will never forget the triple railgun headshot or any other of your insane aiming mechanics.

"Thank you for your absolutely cracked plays @MER1T_ow, we hope you enjoy the beautiful weather at your new home!

"Once an Outlaw, always an Outlaw."

This leaves just two members on the Outlaws active roster, meaning the team will need to make a bunch of signings to prepare for the 2023 season.
