Astralis Group, the company behind the CS:GO team of the same name, has revealed that Anders Horsholt has been signed as co-CEO, joining the founder Nikolaj Nyholm and bringing experience as vice president at MTG Nordic, as well as being CEO of FC Copenhagen in the past.

He'll be working with Nyholm and co-founder Jakob Lund Kristensen on "the strategic development and overall direction of the business," according to the press release, and he's joined at a good time, since Astralis has just claimed victory at the StarLadder Major competition in Berlin.

"I introduced esports in FC Copenhagen where we launched North around the same time as Astralis became a part of RFRSH and I have watched how the organization around Astralis has managed to position themselves not only in the media landscape, but also performance wise and commercially. I will become a part of a very strong and experienced organization, which is a challenge I am really looking forward to taking on," Horsholt said.

"By taking on the day-to-day responsibility in the organization, we will free Nikolaj Nyholms resources to work on the big picture and direction of the business. Together with co-Founder and CCO Jakob Lund Kristensen, Sports Director Kasper Hvidt, our VP of Comms and Brands, Steen Laursen and the rest of the organization, I will be focussing on developing the business around the team brands to strengthen their positions even further. Not only as brands and businesses, but also in terms of facilities, performance tools and everything around the players."

He will officially take over on October 1. Is this a good addition to the team?
