American esports organisation NRG Esports has signed Ian "tex" Botsch to its Valorant roster. Tex joins the team after it failed to qualify for the Valorant Champions Tour: Stage 1 - Masters event that took place recently.

Tex, who was previously known for his time on Equinox Esports, will be joining one of the largest esports brands in the world. Considering he has had very limited success in competitive Valorant so far, his impact on the NRG line-up will be something to keep an eye on, especially as the team looks to make a run for the next Masters-tier tournament.

The Valorant Champions Tour is set to continue soon most likely. No dates have been provided just yet, but considering the Masters Reykjavik event is set for a May 24 start date, the open qualifiers for the stage should be starting sooner than later.

"Valorant is a fun game that we'll most definitely hear more about within the esports scene."
