Earlier today, we reported on the recent new sponsorship signing for Excel Esports that sees energy drink brand Beyond NRG joining the team as its official energy drink partner for Excel's Valorant and League of Legends line-up. Well, despite knowing that David "Davidp" Prins will fill the role for the esports teams' Valorant captain, we had previously known very little about the rest of Excel's Valorant team, until recently that was.

Excel has announced that Jimmy "Jumpy" Berndtsson and Sam "Fields" Greenfield will make up the coaching staff for its Valorant team, in the head coach and assistant coach positions respectively. While Jumpy has been previously known for his coaching efforts in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene, Fields has come from the lower tiers of Valorant. How the pair will fare coaching this new roster is something we'll have to follow as competition for the next round of the Valorant Champions Tour begins.

In other Excel news, the rest of the active team who will be competing alongside Davidp are set to be announced later today, so make sure to keep an eye out for that.
