League of Legends: Wild Rift is becoming more popular as it is launched in more regions around the globe, which means its esports scene is also starting to take shape. The American team Cloud9 is looking to capitalise on this by launching its own Wild Rift roster, ready to compete in events when they become more commonplace.
Donovan "Zelo" Man will mark the first player to join this squad, but the team is looking for more players to compete alongside Zelo, and in order to find the individuals who will, C9 has announced an open tryouts format, where players can fill out a form to register their interest in joining the roster.
Riot has been hosting a few tournaments for Wild Rift over the past few weeks and plans to host more over July, and August, leading up to a €300,000 LAN Major in September. You can read a little more about the League of Legends: Origin Series here.
