Evil Geniuses has not been the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team that it wants to be as of late. The team has struggled to achieve results and has missed vital opportunities and tournaments because of it, and now in a bid to counter and fix this, the esports organisation is drastically changing its approach to CS:GO.

As noted in a statement on Twitter, we're told that the team will be shrinking its main roster from a whopping 15-person team to just 10 players, and then to add to this, EG will be combining its two academy teams (Black and White) into one, as it looks to further consolidate its competitive efforts in the scene.

The team also notes that more reps for its players will be crucial to success and that it trusts in director of athletics "Valens" and head coach "Vorborg" as leaders who can turn the ship around and get EG back on track to being a dominant force in the CS:GO space.
