Following the stellar event that was the Valorant Game Changers Championship, another esports organisation has announced that it will be getting in on the all-women's competitive Valorant action.

Excel Esports has announced that it has signed its first-ever female Valorant roster, and that the team will be competing in the EMEA region when the tournament kicks back off in 2023.

The roster will feature; Cornelia "Neli" Johansson, India "cataLina" Dubourg, Safaa "Purii" Baydi, Camille "Luzia" Millet, Samantha "Samsi" Caddell, and Daniela "Jupi" Gradl, with Kevin "Noizeeh" Jaskiewicz tapped as team manager.

"At EXCEL, we want to offer something new to show young female players a path into esports and believe through signing an existing squad who work well together competitively and socially, we could help and support them to being the best they could be," said Excel's chief operating officer, Tim Reichert. "We hope that this will encourage more female gamers to get into esports and our success will come from our dedication to developing the scene."

Riot has yet to share too many details as to when the Game Changers tournament will return next year.
