Disney is collaborating with Lenovo in order to produce an Augmented Reality 'headset', called Star Wars: Jedi Challenges. The experience even contains a lightsaber (without the light basically) and it looks quite cool, as you can see in the video below. We don't quite understand what exactly the Jedi challenges are, but here's what Lenovo is saying in its official press release:
"Featuring an all-new augmented reality headset, the product was designed to give Star Wars fans an opportunity to recapture some of their favorite moments from Star Wars films in ways never before possible."
"One of the experiences discussed was "Holochess" - as first seen played in a match between Chewbacca and R2-D2 in Star Wars: A New Hope. Like so many of the unforgettable moments from the Star Wars films, the technology to bring these experiences to life has never existed... until today."
Could this work well to reproduce the Star Wars magic?
