Giants Software has announced when the Farming Simulator League (FSL) will be returning for its fifth season. As noted in a press release, we're told that the FSL will be back in July, when competition kicks off at FarmCon on July 1 and 2.
This season will feature a prize pool of €200,000 and will see teams competing in the new Arena mode that is being introduced to the game next month, which will see two teams of three players competing to harvest wheat, press bales, and deliver them as quickly as possible. The season will also include online and offline competitions that will serve as qualifiers for the world championship that will be held at the end of the season.
"We're happy to announce the integration of console players to our esports league," comments Christian Ammann, CEO of GIANTS Software. "This marks another milestone in the history of our successful endeavors to make virtual farming not only competitive and fun, but professional and inspiring."
To add to this, the FSL now has a new main sponsor, with this being the German agricultural company HELM AG.
