Yesterday was another big day for the competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene as it marked the conclusion of the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2022 major. After a couple of weeks of play, last night's final saw FaZe Clan and G2 Esports coming together to compete for the title and the accompanying $400,000 cash prize, with the former coming out on top.

In a 3-0 series, including one map that had a lengthy overtime and concluded with a score of 31-27, FaZe Clan beat out G2 Esports to take home the trophy. This victory doesn't just award FaZe with the title and the cash prize, but also a bunch of Pro Tour points that will help in securing places in the biggest events of the year down the line.

Similarly, this marks FaZe Clan's first CS:GO major since 2019, when it won the BLAST Pro Series in Miami in 2019.
