Unless you've been living in a cave, you'll know that 2017 was all about the domination of a new genre, with online shooters of the first- and third-person variety implementing last man standing modes left, right, and centre. Now there's a new Battle Royale-inspired game set to enter the fray in 2018.
The big name of last year was, of course, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, but there were plenty of others vying for attention. Now there's a new game that's looking to the challenge the supremacy of PUBG, and it's called Fear the Wolves. It's being developed by Vostok Games (a studio made up of ex-S.T.A.L.K.E.R. devs) and it's heading to Early Access on PC sometime in 2018.
Sticking to the studio's irradiated roots, in Fear the Wolves players will drop into Chernobyl, fighting it out alone or in small teams to be the last player/s standing. Adding to the mix of PVP combat will be "deadly anomalies" and dyanmic weather systems underpinned by a day/night cycle. Sounds intriguing.
