The FIFAe 2021 season is set to kick off soon, and unlike last year's season, this year will feature some drastic changes. Revolving around three main narratives: players, clubs and nations - the 2021 season will have three main tournaments for players to compete over.

Players will be able to compete in the EA SPORTS FIFA 21 Global Series, as they look to qualify for the FIFAe World Cup. Alongside this, players will also be able to compete for their clubs in the FIFAe Club Series and their respective nations in the FIFAe Nations Series, both of which will lead to the FIFAe Club World Cup and the FIFAe Nations World Cup respectively.

The FIFAe World Cup and FIFAe Nation Series will both be offering a $500,000 prize pool, with the FIFAe Club Series making another $350,000 available to compete for. Another $3 million will be distributed by EA through qualifiers, regional playoffs, the eChampions League and CONMEBOL eLibertadores as part of the FIFA 21 Global Series.

"Our ambition is to seed the movement for what might become a new football category in the ecosystem of FIFA," said Christian Volk, Director of eFootball and Gaming at FIFA in a press release. "We want to create the biggest stage for the best players and teams of the community to shine brighter, while growing access for new up- and-comers to FIFAe tournaments. All of us at FIFA are excited for what the future holds!"

Players won't have to wait all that long to start competing, as registration for the FIFAe Club Series is now open. You can sign up here, but games won't begin until November.

As for the other FIFAe Series, they will take place shortly in the future.
