Even if game director Hajime Tabata didn't want to promise much when we asked at E3, right after the Xbox One S unveil, Xbox boss Phil Spencer has now confirmed via Twitter that Final Fantasy XV will offer HDR output at launch on Xbox One S. Thus, the game will be able to produce better quality and better coloured images from the scratch, without the need of an additional update post-launch.

The chance to experience the game with HDR is not exclusive to Microsoft's system though, as a few days back Tabata himself confirmed that high dynamic range would as well be a launch feature for PS4 Pro model (doesn't look like standard PS4 is supporting it).

At the recent Tokyo Game Show attendants had the chance to take a glimpse at how FFXV looks with the new tech. Here's a bunch of samples captured by GameWatch:

REVIEW. Written by Jonas Mäki

"It feels like the series should feel, but adapted for a modern audience, and we're so glad that Tabata pulled this massive project together in the way that he did."
