After the original game's offline offering which showed some promise and ended up forging a bit of a cult following, Dragon's Dogma Online is the new direction for Capcom's RPG franchise.

A new seven-minute clip now shows some aspects of a game which still seems early in development. With it, you can begin to glimpse how it will play in the connected world. However, we have to say that this new gameplay has been captured from a live-streamed play, and its quality leaves a lot to be desired.

In this sample the team is formed by a fighter, a tank, a sorcerer and a hunter. The combat system seems much more organic than in the first Dragon's Dogma, with a camera attached to the back that emphasises the sense of action in battle. The enemies that appear in the gameplay are mainly Orcs, and Capcom has already confirmed that they come from low ranks; there will be much tougher enemies.

It is expected that Dragon's Dogma Online will see the light of day in Japan before 2016, on PS3, PS4 and PC as a free-to-play game. For now, it is unknown whether it will reach our shores.
