The first in-person major tournament for the 2023 Valorant Champions Tour concluded over the weekend, as teams finished battling it out in Sao Paulo, Brazil for a share of a $500,000 prize pool.

With that tournament now in the books, we have a winner to report on, with that ultimately being Fnatic. The team managed to defeat Loud in the finals to take home a fifth of the prize pool and to set itself up as the team to beat not just in Europe, but around the world.

On its run to the title, Fnatic ended up knocking out multiple world class teams, including Sentinels, Furia Esports, 100 Thieves, and Natus Vincere.

This victory has also seen the EU region awarded an extra slot at the Masters 2023 tournament, set to be held in Tokyo in June.

As for what's next for the VCT, the EMEA League is set to kick off later this month and will run all the way until late May.
