On an official post made by the Fortnite team, a revamped stats update was revealed as part of the v7.40 patch. According to the post, "the previous stats system couldn't scale properly for all platforms so we're going to upgrade the existing one to include a variety of info and track player progress better over time."

As for what's new with the upgraded stats system, these are the upcoming additions and changes:

. The ability to track all of your play in one place and view it across all platforms.
. All of your previously earned stats will be added in and displayed in-game (although they warn that there could be minor cases where data could be missing).
. All LTM stats are combined and tracked in a singular tab. This means that any previous LTM stats you've earned will be moved out of the Solo/Duo/Squad tab and into the LTM tab.
. The exception to this would be Large Team Mode LTMs as they don't track stats in those game modes.

Earlier this month we found out that Epic now lets you merge accounts on Fortnite, so the game is still going strong with new content and improvements despite speculation that Respawn's new game Apex Legends could be placing that in doubt.

Are you happy with the changes to the stats system? Is there anything else you want changed?
