G2 Esports has officially secured its spot in the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational, after defeating Rogue in the final match of the League of Legends European Championship Spring Finals. Despite a tough start to the tournament, and being knocked instantly into the lower bracket after falling to Fnatic 3-1 in the first round, G2 Esports looked to be the team to beat from there out, and proceeded to not lose a single game, winning 12 games straight.

This victory will see G2 Esports heading to Busan, South Korea for the upcoming MSI, and also rewards G2 with 90 Championship Points, putting the team comfortably at the top of the LEC standings ahead of the Summer Season.

With this result in the book, Riot Games has also revealed that G2's Rasmus "caPs" Borregaard Winther was the Spring Finals MVP following his performance at the tournament.
