The first Major for the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), and the first DPC Major to ever be held in South America, concluded over the weekend, and following the best teams in the world all heading to Lima to fight over a share of a $500,000 prize pool, we now have a winner to report on.
After a long Playoffs bracket, Gaimin Gladiators secured its position as the Dota 2 team to beat right now, after winning every single match in the Playoffs. During this run, the team remained undefeated against Team Aster, Entity, Team Liquid, and Team Liquid once more (after the team pulled itself out of the lower bracket to meet Gaimin in the Grand Final).
This result has seen Gaimin heading home with $200,000 in prize money, on top of a bunch of DPC Points, which will come in handy for earning a spot at The International when it's held later this year.
As for what's next for the DPC, it's back to regional play for a while.
