GTFO launched late last year with a very unique premise. Every few months, the developers at 10 Chambers Collective (a team of veterans with tons of co-op shooter experience) put out a new 'rundown', a collection of freshly-made missions that take teams of four down into the depths of an ominous complex filled with futuristic terrors. These new levels replace those from the rundown of old, and that's the case once again with a new string of missions called The Vessel replacing the game's last major content drop, Infection.

If you're not familiar with the game itself, GTFO is a hard as nails co-op shooter where teamwork is essential. And when we say "essential" we don't mean you can do whatever you want but you might not get a good score - if you don't work together in this game, you're doomed from the start. That's why, for this exclusive, extended commented gameplay clip, we made sure to have a full team before heading into action, with two developers from 10CC joining the effort.

Of course, that also means that you're going to get some exclusive insight when watching our 40-minute run at The Vessel, which was filmed ahead of its general release. However, if that's not enough GTFO for you, we've also got an exclusive interview with 10CC's Simon Viklund that you can see here, where he explains even more about our mission to the game's new environment, a mysterious lab that hides more than a few sinister secrets (and on the story front, they've had help from Adam Gascoine, whose credits include The Last of Us and Doom Eternal).

While the game is defined by its punishing challenge, studio founder Ulf Andersson revealed that "with the new rundown, we have done some stabilisation to also make it a bit more accessible for players who might not call themselves hardcore. GTFO will always be difficult, but it should never be unfair. We hope this update will welcome many new players to our friendly and active community."

The Vessel is available to download today for all existing GTFO players, but if you're new blood eager to take your first steps in this harsh and unforgiving sci-fi shooter, you'll need to head over to Steam Early Access.
