At Gamescom this year, Blizzard released a cinematic trailer for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. Bengt caught up with John Lagrave and Ion Hazzikostas to find out more about the stunning trailer and the new features set to be included in the expansion.

During the interview we discovered more about the sensational new trailer for Mists of Pandaria:

JL: "The cinematic department does an phenomenal job on all our introductions, and this is no exception. I think fans are going to be blown away by what they see. It's a nice little teaser. It gives you a little bit of the backstory of what's going on, and how Pandaria's come about, and it shows you a little bit of the world itself. It's beautiful, stunning."

We also found out more regarding the content that is set to feature in the expansion, including details on increased endgame content for high level players:

IH: "Mists of Pandaria is offering more endgame content than any of our prior expansions. We've really tried to have an unparelleled level of breadth and depth to that content. So there's all new modes for playing the game. Things like Scenarios, when you can pick up a group of like just three people of any role, hop right in, do it quickly. Challenge modes, where you can take your friends and work your way through a dungeon that's perhaps more challenging than other five player dungeons that we have in the game. A harder mode for specific rewards and prestige if you can do it quickly. Pet Battles, the black market feature, as well as expanding on the additional things that we've always had on WoW."

Given that World of Warcraft has been around for awhile, we also asked how the studio keeps their approach to development fresh:

JL: We play the game ourselves, so we're not satisfied with "oh yeah, that's good enough". We complain to each other. "What are you doing there. That's not fun, I'm not enjoying that. That's too hard. That doesn't make sense. Why isn't it like that?" We're very critical of what we do."
