We caught up with lead game designer Eric Jannot from Noumena Studios to talk about the upcoming RPG Demonicon set in the world of The Dark Eye (Die Schwarze Auge). The developers are taking a somewhat different approach to player choices in the game:
"Each choice has a good side and a bad side. We think that being a hero is about making tough choices. It would be too easy to make everybody happy - reality isn't like that. For instance, in the beginning of the game you have to choose if you want to kill or spare a cannibal. Normally you would say kill him so he wouldn't do any bad things again, but it isn't that easy, because if you kill him you'll also kill his hostages. Because they are bound to him by blood magic - if you spare him these hostages survive, but you don't know if he will kill again."
The Dark Eye: Demonicon is target for release on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in May or June next year.
