Beyond The Walls, the final piece of DLC for Homefront: The Revolution, is finally here, along with a free trial for those who don't own the game and want to give it a go, not to mention added PS4 Pro support too.

Starting this week, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can download a free trial of Homefront: The Revolution, which contains a substantial amount of content, more so than you'd expect from a free demo. Expect unlimited access to Resistance Mode, the online co-operative portion of the game, along with the entirety of the Red Zone from the single player campaign, which is the first four hours of gameplay.

The trial accompanies the final piece of single player DLC for the full game, Beyond The Walls, in which players are placed in a brand new environment; rural Philadelphia. You play as Ethan Brady, as the final stronghold of the Resistance is about to concede to the KPA, but in what seems like a miracle, a NATO agent contacts the group with vital information that will enable you to fight back and end the nightmarish regime of the KPA.

Beyond The Walls is available now on Xbox One, PS4, and Steam for £9.99, or free to all holders of the Homefront Expansion Pass.

In addition to the free trial and DLC comes a patch for the PS4 Pro version of the game, which upgrades Homefront to 1440p with all HUD and UI elements rendered in 4K. Frame-rate is improved even further, along with the Easter Egg content being rendered in native 4K. HDR support is now enabled too. Was Homefront and underrated gem from last year?
