21:9 - or perhaps better known as ultrawide - monitors are becoming a must-have for more and more high-end gaming setups, as on top of high quality picture and good response, some gamers look for that additional field of view you can't find on consoles.
We've seen examples mostly with first-person shooters, space experiences, or racing games, but as we're football lovers we were wondering how a match of the beautiful game would look and play on such format, given the sport's wide nature and the fact that the pitch is pretty long as it is.
HP lent us their flagship gaming display, the HP Omen 35, and so we had the perfect excuse to try this out with Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 on PC, as it supports 21:9 graphics this year. You can find the results in the video below, so be sure to let us know what you think of the added peripheral view.
