A few days ago, we reported on the news that Cuyler "Huke" Garland had left the Los Angeles Guerrillas. Following this news, it has now been reported that Huke is returning to the same franchise that he won the Call of Duty League with in 2020.

Granted this team has changed a bit in that time, both in the sense of the roster but also in its name and branding (it was previously the Dallas Empire and is now OpTic Texas), but this is still a homecoming regardless.

Whether this change will make OpTic a more competitive team in the CDL remains to be seen, but as the CDL second Major of the 2023 season kicks off later this week, it won't be long until these questions are answered.
