The biggest challenge and nuisance about being a car owner is without a doubt having to get out of your car to use the pumps at petrol stations. Fortunately, as we edge ever closer to an all-electric motoring future, Hyundai has taken aim at exactly this problem.

As the car manufacturer and technology company has now unveiled a robot that is specifically designed for charging your electric car. In a press release, we're told that the robot communicates with your EV (Terminator fans no doubt are starting to fidget) so that it can open the charging port and put in the plug to top your car off.

The robot is simply named automatic charging robot, or ACR for short, and has been designed to operate in any and all environments, weather conditions, and to overcome obstacles in its way.

Although it is worth saying that this is more of a concept robot right now, as the device is only ready to be exhibited at the Seoul Mobility Show between March 31 through April 9, and not for widespread deployment around the world yet.
