When Obsession debuted, star Inde Navarrette quickly became a global sensation, stealing the spotlight and becoming a talking point in many social circles. In fact, Navarrette's stardom has catapulted to such extreme heights that the actress who has basically only appeared in Obsession, Superman & Lois, and Trap House, is already being pushed by many to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

At the start of July, we saw Navarrette confirm she had a meeting with director Jake Schreier (known for Thunderbolts* but also helming the upcoming X-Men reboot), and she has now commented on this an additional time, including mentioning the Marvel character she'd like to take a stab at.

In a conversation on Variety's Up Next podcast, Navarrette explained: "I thought what Jake brought to 'Thunderbolts' was what I used to love about Marvel. It was character-driven, and the whole time I just couldn't stop yapping about how much I appreciated what he did with Marvel."

She then went on to note the Marvel character she is intrigued by, explaining: "I mean, Mystique has always been super cool."

Mystique is set to make her debut in the MCU later this year in Avengers: Doomsday, when Rebecca Romijn returns to the role building on her time as Mystique in the X-Men movies from the 2000s. It's thought, like many of the other older and returning X-Men stars, that these roles will be short-lived, all so Marvel can reboot X-Men post Avengers: Secret Wars with a younger cast, including Sadie Sink's now confirmed Jean Grey.

Do you think Navarrette would make a good Mystique?
