J.J. Abrams "God Particle" is the third Cloverfield film

There may be a new Cloverfield film every year.

The J.J. Abrams-produced film "God Particle" is the next film in the Cloverfield series, set to release in cinemas next year. Apparently, Paramount Pictures intend on bringing a new Cloverfield film every year.

This is according to an insider who told The Wrap all about it. The plot synopsis on IMDB states that the film is about a team of astronauts who makes a shocking discovery aboard a space station which leads to them having to fight for survival while their reality is being altered.

As previously stated, J.J. Abrams will produce while Julis Onah is directing. Amongst the cast we find names like David Oyelowo, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ziyi Zhang, Elizabeth Debicki, Daniel Brühl and Chris O'Dowd. The film will be released in cinemas in February.
