Following on from the major Street Fighter 6 tournament that was held in Las Vegas as part of Evo 2023, the ongoing Gamers8 festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has now also held its own major SF6 event.

Known as the Gamers8 Street Fighter 6 Invitational, this tournament saw the 32 best players from around the world fighting for a share of a $1 million prize pool, and after a weekend of competition, Japan's Kakeru has claimed the victory and $400,000 in prize money too.

Interestingly, while Kakeru is the champion, AngryBird, the victor of Evo 2023, came in second, after being defeated by Kakeru in the grand finals.

As for what's next for Gamers8, the PUBG Global Series 2 tournament is ongoing, and the CS:GO event starts later this week, all before the Rocket League major concludes the festival next week.
