Among the classics of the early years of Grasshopper Manufacture, the one game fans wanted most wanted to see return, has been the most difficult to achieve. We are talking about Killer 7, a dark and very original title, originally published on Gamecube. The rumour of a remaster has been making the rounds. Now, on the thirteenth anniversary of its launch, and after the Japanese director had announced that they had overcome issues to do with rights and such, it is confirmed that the remastered version of Killer 7 will be available for play on PC this fall.

The new version of the game will come to Steam (it already has its page on the platform) adapted by NIS America with the support of Engine Software, but it is not yet known exactly what improvements the remaster treatment wil bring, although its stylish anime finish lends itself particularly well to resizing. Check out the first trailer below.

The huge reaction from fans on social networks has not been long in coming, most of them celebrating the remaster, others waiting to see the final NIS work and a good number of them asking for a Killer 7 port for Nintendo Switch. Although the adaptation to consoles is not confirmed, it cannot be ruled out either. Recently Grasshopper made the first leap to PC with the Silver Case remaster, and later it appeared on PS4. In addition, after Killer 7 a remaster of another old Grasshopper release - Flower, Sun and Rain - will follow. For now, at least, PC seems to be the platform of choice if you want to play remastered Grasshopper titles...
