Killer Instinct getting Ultimates next week

On the official homepage for Iron Galaxy Studios' Killer Instinct, it was recently announced that Ultimates are coming to the game. They can be described as a cooler way to finish off battles, something that the older games for the Arcades and Super Nintendo also had.

15 characters will get Ultimates "at this time", and this wording makes us think that there might be more coming if it turns out to be a popular addition to Killer Instinct. These will be divided into three DLC packs with five each, with the first one delivered on Valentines Day (Tuesday) next week. It will be free, and Iron Galaxy Studios promises it will stay that way.

The first five characters to get this are Jago, Maya, Thunder, TJ Combo, and Tusk. To start your Ultimate "you need to be on your first bar of health [...] You must start with the input for Ultra first, then quickly press LP+LK to activate the Ultimate. You cannot directly enter an Ultimate without first having started the Ultra."
