When Dino Patti, co-founder of Limbo and Inside studio Playdead, decided to leave the company last year, it was followed by some legal disagreements between the two parties. This lead to some speculation that he wouldn't return to the games industry, but that's not the case.
Patti has announced that he's teaming up with feature film animator Chris Olsen to found a new studio called Jumpship. That's not all either. The two have already started working on a new game called Stormville. They don't want to reveal much about it, but says that it's "a sci-fi action adventure that chronicles the lives of key individuals in the wake of a global catastrophe". We've also received a short teaser trailer for the game which shows a character gazing upon what we're guessing is the catastrophic event.
Olsen says that he's been working on the game for three years and created a proof of concept trailer and playable prototype last year, so it might be further along than you'd think. It'll be very interesting to see how the project develops and how it'll compare to Playdead's own upcoming game.
Which tease entices you the most?
