Linkin Park in Medal of Honor

Linkin Park were extremely successful a few years back with their brand of nu metal (is that term even used anymore?), but in the last few years they haven't done much that we have noticed. Apparently a new studio album is in the works, and today it was announced that Linkin Park have teamed up with EA to "headline" the Medal of Honor soundtrack with the song "The Catalyst" from their new album.

Perhaps the idea to feature Linkin Park comes from the fact that they were at the peak of their careers at the approximate time when the missions featured in Medal of Honor were played out in Afghanistan... or perhaps I'm just being a bit mean.

Medal of Honor will launch on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 14 in Europe, and Linkin Park's new album A Thousand Suns will be available on September 14.
