The LeMans 24h Virtual didn't quite go as planned over the weekend. During the race, the host game, rFactor 2 was met with an array of server issues that the developer Motorsport Games later stated were down to security breaches. But, by the time that fixes had been put in place, the damage had been done and teams and drivers, including Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen, were not happy about what happened.

After being disconnected during the race and having to retire, Verstappen unleashed a rant about the race and how it has been handled, and even went so far as to call it a "clown show" before deciding to uninstall the game whilst hoping that others do the same.

As you can see in the clip from YouTuber Limitless below, Verstappen even stated that he would not be partaking in the event next year.

The winner of the LeMans 24h Virtual ended up being Team Redline, meaning F2 champion Felipe Drugovich can add this tournament to his trophy cabinet.
