It's a widely known fact that many football players love to play their own profession in FIFA or PES, even if Fortnite is also proving popular with players like Antoine Griezmann and Dele Alli. It seems that Arsenal's Mesut Özil wants to take this love of virtual football to another level though, as he's building his own FIFA esports team, currently represented by the hashtag #teamozil.
"'How cheeky is that': I'm teaming up with @eSports_Rep to form my own @EASPORTSFIFA team," the German player announced on Twitter. "In the upcoming weeks we'll look out for players around the world who will represent #teamozil in all major national and international EA FIFA competitions."
