Metal Slug XX's Steam release hit with negative reviews

Metal Slug fans on PC should've had a lot to smile about when XX landed on Steam last week, but as reported by PC Gamer, this wasn't the case. As soon as it released players started finding a number of issues with this version, and now the Steam rating sits at "mostly negative."

One of the major blows for this version is the lack of graphics and control options, with some users pointing out that unless you use a controller the keyboard isn't comfortable at all with the bindings assigned, and you can't change them either. The escape key also seems to exit the program immediately too.

Input lag is another problem cited by some reviews, and people are even getting refunds because of how big these issues are for them. Many hope that patches will arrive to fix this, so time will tell whether Metal Slug XX becomes better on Steam.
