During our visit to E3 we got to check out Monster Hunter: World's chilling Iceborne expansion, and after we got our hands on the new content we sat down with producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and executive director and art director Kaname Fujioka to chat about what's coming, which includes a lot of stuff.

"Yeah, we're calling it a massive expansion DLC and you're exactly right, it's enough content to practically rival the original game," Tsujimoto told us via a translator. "We were creating it thinking we want to continue the story of Monster Hunter: World, add a new area, add new monsters, and it could almost be [...] off on its own, but the great thing is, because you can buy it as an expansion, you can continue where you left off with your Monster Hunter: World save data and enjoy all this great new content."

For more details on the story and premise with Iceborne, check out the full interview down below, which also goes into the setting, the monsters themselves, and the success of the game as a whole.

Have you played the base game yet?
