Mini has decided that as cars become increasingly technologically advanced that there is no better time to debut a Clippy-type character. As revealed in a new press release ahead of Mini's appearance at the Shanghai Auto 2023 event, the car company has revealed that it will be bringing Spike to future cars.

This character is said to be inspired by a British Bulldog, and that he will serve as a personal assistant for owners of the car, and will provide support as users get to grips with all of the features that modern Minis can offer.

We're also told that Spike will be "appearing as an active protagonist in the cockpit of the new MINI Concept Aceman" and that he will be presented to the public on the OLED central display and dashboard of the new car.

Further information about what Spike can bring to the table will be shared further throughout 2023.
