The Minnesota Rokkr Call of Duty League team has announced that it has partnered with Waconia Brewing Company, in a deal that will see the beer company create a beverage exclusively for the CDL team, called Final Circle.
As part of the partnership, the Rokkr will hold a watch party for its homestand weekend match against the Seattle Surge, where Final Circle will be served to attendees.
"We are thrilled to release Final Circle as part of Rokkr's home series weekend," says Tanner DeLange, brand manager at Waconia Brewing Company. "Waconia Brewing Company is owned and operated by a family of gamers. We were able to make the most of an opportunity to do something totally unique in establishing the first partnership in Minnesota between a local craft brewery and hometown professional esports team."
Final Circle will also be available following the homestand watch party event, and will be sold in four-pack cans that will be purchasable in early August in major liquor stores across the US.
"Final Circle, our first beer in partnership with Waconia Brewing, is a celebration of victory," said Annie Scott Riley, vice president of marketing & creative at Version1 (the organisation that owns the Rokkr). "We were inspired by that sweet, dark feeling of making it to the end of the battle — elation, power and that sense of 'now I can relax.'"
