Dead Rising 2: Off the Record is a remake of Dead Rising 2, but with Frank West from the original game as the protagonist, and according to the developer it will have more undead than the first Dead Rising 2.

"We've upped the zombie density this time around," producer Jason Leigh told Siliconera. "When we first started showing the game at Captivate a couple of years ago, on one level we had 7,000 zombies on the screen. What we found in Dead Rising 2 that was not actually practical in an environment because it was just too dense. This time around, because we made Frank a tougher character right at the beginning and we gave him more cool weapons that do a lot more damage, we actually managed to up the zombie density and have the world be a little more dangerous for him."

Leigh estimates that there's 30% more zombies in Off the Record. "There are probably a few thousand zombies in any one environment." So get ready to smash a lot of zombie skulls this October.

"The game was originally meant to be a Director's Cut. However the fan response on Frank's absence was so strong that it was obvious we needed to bring him back in a big way."
