Last December, Conan Unconquered was announced as a collaboration between Petroglyph Games and Funcom. At the time, only a cinematic trailer and screenshots were revealed, making us wait to see how this marriage would shape up, but now a new video shows us some alpha gameplay - albeit in short snippets - to give us an idea of how the RTS genre works when wrapped up in the Conan universe.

From what we saw in the video, it looks like a tower defense style of gameplay, with hordes of enemies attacking your base at any one time. The developers at Petroglyph are looking to create an RTS that harkens back to their previous work on Dune II and Command and Conquer, and they certainly have the pedigree to do so.

It was also revealed that the game would be shown at GDC, the upcoming Game Developer Conference in San Francisco, which takes place between March 18 and 22. At the event, press will be given hands-on time behind closed doors, with opportunities to quiz the developers on what more is to come for the game.

Conan Unconquered is set to release in Q2 2019 for PC, and the new video is available below. Do you like the looks of this?

Conan Unconquered

REVIEW. Written by Claus Larsen

"Everything got a little monotonous, and this blend of gameplay is all that Conan Unconquered really has to offer."
