Three Swedish game industry veterans, with experience from franchises like Wolfenstein and Bulletstorm - Arcade Berg, Tor Frick, and Jonathan Heckley, have teamed up with entrepreneur Erik Gloersen (Funcom, Looking Glass, 2K Czech) and Goodbye Kansas to set up a new studio, Neon Giant, in Uppsala just north of Stockholm, Sweden. The team is working on a mysterious action title set in a cyberpunk universe. Berg, Frick, and Heckley all held key positions at Machine Games during the development of both recent Wolfenstein titles.
Neon Giant is funded by Goodbye Kansas Game Invest, an entity that is involved with a bunch of Swedish developers, most notably they funded Experiment 101 and BioMutant before selling the studio to publisher THQ Nordic, but they also fund The Bearded Ladies who are working on Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden among others.
Remains to be seen when we learn more about the first title from Neon Giant, but presumably it's at a fairly early stage in development.
