EA has been quite keen to put microtransactions in their games for a while now, whether that be with FIFA's popular Ultimate Team mode or the hugely controversial Star Wars Battlefront II, which has caused some to worry that the newly-confirmed remaster of Burnout Paradise might have the same.
One of the developers (F8RGE) behind the last three Need for Speed games has taken to Reddit to ease the concerns fans have, saying that the remaster will in fact not contain any microtransactions of in-game purchases, even though that appears to be the case when looking at EA's online store.
"I can confirm that there are no MTX or additional paid content. This is a store listing error and should be fixed soon," they wrote.
Community manager Ben Walke also took to Twitter to confirm this was a mistake too, so it seems like we have nothing to fear, although considering the screenshot below it did seem like we were going to get another game with in-game purchases.
Walke also mentioned in the replies for the same tweet that old saves won't carry over into this new remaster either.
Were you worried for a minute there, regarding microtransactions?
