Senior Analyst at Niko Partners, Daniel Ahmad, has revealed on Twitter, that North Korea has released its own video game console, and its called Moranbong. This information was revealed in a government regulated website called Arirang Meari.

The name is taken from a North Korean pop band called Moranbong Band. What is known about this console is that there is a camera similar to Microsoft's Kinect, and a pair of Nintendo's Wiimote like motion controllers. It also seems that there is some sort of fitness mattress.

"North Korea recently released its own video game console called the Moranbong, based on Wii/Kinect/Move tech.

It has shooting, sports and fitness games. Also has educational apps installed."

It is not likely, that the game will be featured outside North Korea, but it certainly would be interesting to give it a try.
