It seems like a strange thing to say, but the OpTic Texas Call of Duty League team has been without a defined coach for months, since January to be exact. This is because Raymond "Rambo" Lussier was originally tapped for the role as well as being the team's general manager, but a intrateam spat led to him pulling out of coaching duties, and thus the role has been empty ever since.

Well now that we are underway with the final Major of the 2023 season, and with all eyes on Championship Weekend in a few weeks, the Texas has finally signed a coach, with this job falling to a former CoD professional - one of the best to do it at that.

Three-time world champion Damon "Karma" Barlow has signed with the Texas to be their coach for the remainder of the season, meaning all the pieces are in place for the team to secure its first championship as the Texas (second if you count its heritage as part of Dallas Empire).
