Gamereactor's Jonas Mäki has invested a few hours with the preview build of IO Interactive's Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, and he also snapped the screens below. We were not very impressed by the first game and this is what the he thinks of the sequel so far:

"After a few hours Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is a noticeable improvement over its predecessor. The levels are better designed, it's faster and more action packed. Several of the problems of the original are however still present. You can sit in cover and be sure no one has seen you, but still get shot at continuously without being able to fire back. And you can also aim straight for the head of an enemy just to see the bullet miss him."

Improved, but perhaps not to the degree that we had hoped for. The story does have us excited however, and come August 20 we will know if Kane and Lynch have what it takes to makes us happy.

REVIEW. Written by Steve Hogarty

Two madmen on a rampage through Shanghai, pursued by a bloke who can't hold a camera straight - IO Interactive's latest is a visual treat, but they deliver a decent shooter?
